I was one of the lucky ones and came away from the breast pain clinic with a clean bill of health. But the experience of sitting in the waiting room with others who have been treated for breast cancer or like me were being checked to see if they possibly might have it was a little daunting to say the least. BUT, the waiting room had music playing which helped, plenty of magazines, which helped, and a very kind understanding consultant called Dr Chaudhry, which totally helped! She listened, was thorough, but had the loveliest warm smile any patient could wish for and I'm sure if my news had been bad, she would see me, and any women, through their trauma with sympathy and kindness. I felt very much at ease discussing my health problems and I thank her for that.

I was referred urgently to Ms Choudhry after her colleague was unable to perform the operation, so I only met her 5 days before my surgery as a squeezed in appointment. I instantly felt I was in good hands, and in the short time she was more informative than my previous surgeon had been in 2 full appointments! I have the BRCA1 gene so had a bilateral mastectomy with insertion of silicon implants. She did a fantastic job of the surgery, being new to the hospital, she brought with her the latest techniques and I had multiple nurses dropping by to admire her handiwork. The result is an astonishingly natural look, far better than I had anticipated, no need for a bra at all! I did have a few issues with my stay in hospital, nothing to do with Ms Choudhry, when I brought these to her attention she was enormously helpful. I am confident that she will push through changes in the hospital processes to ensure that the trouble I experienced is not repeated for other patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

She is a great surgeon with very good interpersonal skills, who made me feel at ease with the surgery I was going to have. Instilling confidence with her enthusiasm and knowledge. She appears to enjoy her job and it comes across when she is dealing with the people she interacts with. I would definitely recommend her to other people.
